Past President’s Message

It is truly an honor to stand before you tonight as I conclude my term as President of the Artesia Chamber of Commerce. When I stepped into this role, I knew we had opportunities ahead of us—but I could never have imagined the incredible progress we would achieve together.

To our board members, staff, volunteers, and every business owner who calls Artesia home: thank you. Your energy, commitment, and belief in what this chamber can accomplish have made this year not only productive, but meaningful.

Over the past year, we strengthened connections among our local businesses through networking events that were fuller—and louder—than ever. We expanded programs that support entrepreneurs, spark collaboration, and keep our local economy growing. We welcomed new members whose talents and passion are already shaping the future of our community.

We also elevated our fundraising efforts, ensuring we have the resources needed to support local businesses and community initiatives. Whether through sponsorship drives, community partnerships, or special campaigns, we saw remarkable generosity from individuals and organizations who believe deeply in Artesia’s future.

Our events calendar was one of the busiest and most vibrant in recent years. From business mixers and educational workshops to cultural celebrations and large community gatherings, each event reminded us of the incredible spirit that defines Artesia. These moments—big and small—brought our community together, strengthened relationships, and showcased the diversity that makes our city unique.

And perhaps most importantly, we continued what the Artesia Chamber has always done best: bring people together. Through collaboration and shared purpose, we proved again and again that Artesia thrives when we show up for each other.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done—but I am even more excited about what’s coming next. Leadership is about stewardship, and tonight I turn this role over with complete confidence. The incoming president brings fresh ideas, energy, and a deep commitment to our mission. I know the Chamber is in excellent hands, and I cannot wait to support the journey ahead from a new vantage point.

To everyone who has supported me this year—your encouragement has meant more than you know. Thank you for the late-night emails, the early-morning meetings, the laughter, the teamwork, and your unwavering dedication to this community. Thank you for believing in the vision we set out to pursue. And thank you for letting me serve a community I care so deeply about.

While my term as president ends tonight, my commitment to Artesia and to this Chamber does not. I look forward to continuing to work alongside each of you to build an even stronger, more connected, and more prosperous future for our businesses and our community.
